Celebrate your Lil’ cowhand or pioneer’s birthday with us!
The HH&LC is the perfect place for your child’s birthday party! The homestead buildings and surrounding ranchland provide a rustic backdrop where children can travel back in time to Colorado in the late 1800s. An HH&LC guide leads children through their three chosen activities and parents are encouraged to join in the fun! Our programs are run outside; we can, however, move under shelter for certain activities, like cake and presents, in case of inclement weather. In any event, please dress appropriately for the weather conditions and outdoor setting. We strongly encourage participants to enhance their homesteader experience by dressing the part!
3 Steps to Planning your Party: 
1. Select the date that you would like to have your party
Birthday parties are scheduled for 2 hours, day of the week dependent on availability, May-October.
You MUST confirm a date prior to registering. Thank You!
2. Choose a Birthday Party Plan:
A. PIONEER FUN $110 – Includes 3 pioneer activities. Bring your favorite cake and other goodies. Party invitations included.
B. PIONEER FUN AND TASTY $130 – Includes 3 pioneer activities and ice cream, hand-churned by the children, to accompany your cake and other goodies. Party invitations included.
C. TOTAL PIONEER $145 – Includes 3 pioneer activities and ice cream, hand-churned by the children, to accompany your cake and other goodies, and 2 birthday gifts from the Homestead Store. Party invitations included.
Goodie Bags for your party guests! As part of each Birthday Party Plan option, for an additional $5/ child, party favors from the Homestead Store can be provided to each party guest. Each child can choose 2 items from our selection of children’s period games & toys to take home in a burlap gift bag.
Birthday Party package prices are for parties of up to 15 children – this includes the birthday child and his/ her siblings. Maximum capacity for indoor space included in birthday packages is 20 persons total (children and adults).

Additional Information:
-Birthday parties are scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Reserve your Friday TODAY!
-Parties must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance. To hold a date and time, full payment for the party package is required as a deposit. Please see below for cancellation policies. Scheduling and cancellation policies are as follows:
-Parties may be rescheduled up to 10 business days before the scheduled date of the party and the deposit will be transferred.
-Cancellations or reschedules made less than 10 business days prior to the scheduled party forfeit $50.00 of their deposit.
-Cancellations due to weather concerns (ie thunderstorms, heavy snow, extreme cold), where the HH&LC is officially open to the public will result in a $50.00 cancellation fee. All weather related cancellations must be made by 8am on the day of the party by calling (719)239-0955 and leaving a message, otherwise you will forfeit your deposit.
-The HH&LC reserves the right to cancel the program if we determine the weather conditions are dangerous. In the event that HH&LC cancels the program due to weather conditions, or if HH&LC closes to the public, HH&LC will issue a full refund or apply the funds to a later date scheduled within 90 days of the original booking date.
